Sarah and John (siblings) married another brother and sister pair who were Thomasson's. The marriage of Anderson and Myranda is documented in the Marriages of Rutherford Co. on 22 January 1843. The bondsman was James Crowder.

This info was taken from an article in a Broad River Genealogical Society edition. Some of the info on the Davis family is wrong and the other data is questionable based on the correlation of dates.

116 At the age of 32 years he rode on horseback to Cincinnati, Ohio; the country then being almost a wilderness. He drew a draft of a cotton factory and when he returned to his mother's on Buffalo Creek, he and Daniel Warlick commenced building a cotton factory and had it about completed when it was washed away by a freshet. They were not able at that time to rebuild. He invented a cotton planter and rode on horseback to Washington D.C. to obtain a patent for it. He went west and was selling his cotton planter with success when he was taken sick and died in 1849, Tishamingo County. He died single. Beam, Michael (I5096)

He was A first Sargent during WWII and served in both Africa and Europe in a field Artillery Battalion of the 6th Army. First Sargent Simpson served over 29 months overseas and was awarded 6 Battle stars.

126 Birthdate on the tombstone is 1791. Buried in the Greene-Davis family cemetery located approximately 5 miles from Polkville on Stagecoach Trail Road between Polkville and New House. A family history sheet compiled by Biddie Barnett Ruppe indicates Sally's death as June 27, 1850.

The 1850 Cleveland Co. census shows Sarah as widowed living with the following family members still living with her: Susan (33), Sarah "Sally" (26), Melena Francis (22), Simon D. (16), Abraham H. (15), William A Philbeck (10), and Abram Womack (45) apparently her brother a blacksmith. William Philbeck is apparently the son of Susan and John Philbeck.

The 1860 Cleveland Co. census shows Sarah as an invalid living in the same house as her daughter Sarah P. (36) another daughter Phoebe C. McKinney (32), Mary J. Davis (7), William A. Philbeck (19), William P. Davis (11), William A. Davis (10), and Cela S. Davis (8).

Her will located in the NC State Archives is dated March 14, 1866.
